Rock Band Korn Gets the Connection Between Government and Media How They are in Bed Together to Our Detriment

Legendary Rock Band Korn Gets the Government-Media connection, and how it uses entertainment to get our attention off of how we are losing our privacy and our rights. The video looks like a 1984 Reboot starting with the band watching hundreds of monitors. The video shows how our entertainment and political representatives have melded into infotainment. Where major news outlets break from interviewing congressmen about the NSA scandal to get the latest news on Justin Bieber.

Images of politicians like Obama and Chris Christie intertwined with Miley Cyrus. Katy Perry, Kanye West and Justin Bieber flash before your eyes, showing what a mockery of our free press and representative democracy it has become it has all become. And how News Outlets like Fox, CNN, NBC and others are all using misinformation and infotainment to deceive while entertaining us, so we won’t realize the wool they are pulling over our eyes. 

Korn's Jonathan Davis says, "We are all so caught up in watching crazy media on the internet and TV that we are manipulated into ignoring that our privacy has all but disappeared."

From the onset, we see them stomping around a room filled with TV monitors, as the video first cuts to news reports of data surveillance before the broadcast is interrupted with a Justin Bieber report. There's not-so-subtle images of President Obama walking out to give a Presidential Address that's spliced with him walking onto Jimmy Fallon's stage and videos of Toronto mayor Rob Ford and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie interrupted by shots of Miley Cyrus and Kanye West. Korn's point is clear: Is news news or just entertainment?

One thing this shows is that people of every stripe, from rock bands like Korn to actors to politicians to everyday folks everywhere are waking up to see that the quasi government-corporate hybrid powers that be are seeking take our natural rights, so that they can make us infotainment surfs that they can rule by robbing us blind. And they see that its not just the Republicans or Democrats it both working together to serve their uber-corporatist masters.
