So this is what the slick, about to be recalled, governor of California is up to now.
He on Friday cleared the way for people to attend indoor concerts, theater performances and NBA games for the first time in more than a year.
Governor Newsom won’t require testing or proof of vaccination for most of the events.
BUT the ba*tard has a nudge that will incentivize entertainment operators to do so.
As I previously have pointed out, Cass Sunstein, author of, Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness, is the father of the nudge. He advises all kinds of state governments and federal government agencies on how to implement the nudge.
He designs "options" that are really "nudges" to direct people in the direction of authoritarian government desires.
Newsom has adopted this method with regard to the easing of indoor events.
Beginning April 15, for venues with a capacity of up to 1,500 people:
In the orange tier: capacity is limited to 15% or 200 people, but it increases to 35% if all guests are tested or show proof of full vaccination.
In the yellow tier: capacity in limited to 25% or 300 people, but it increases to 50% if all guests are tested or show proof of full vaccination.
For larger venues:
In the orange tier: capacity is limited to 10% or 2,000 people, but it increases to 35% if all guests are tested or show proof of full vaccination.
In the yellow tier: capacity is limited to 10% or 2,000 people, and it increases to 50% if all guests are tested or show proof of full vaccination.
So you design a plan where there are "options" with the big nudge that pushes people in the direction of the authoritarian desire.
As KTLA-TV 5 notes:
The new rules seem to nudge California toward a system of vaccine verification, a hotly debated issue across the country. That says it all. It is all about the California crony health sector.
It should be noted that when a photo emerged of a dinner party, at the restaurant The French Laundry where dinner plates run into the thousands of dollars, which Newsom attended at a time when he had locked down the state, Janus Norman a top lobbyist for the California Medical Association was sitting right next to Newsom. On Newsom's other side was the CEO of the California Medical Association Dustin Corcoran.
So is it any wonder that Newsom pushes the vaccine angle which is super profitable for the healthcare industry that includes not only vaccine manufacturers but those who dispense the vaccines?
This leaves me with only one thought, the only thing I'd like to see nudged is Newsom out of office when the recall election takes place.
